Therapy Planning – The Key to Successful Implant Treatment
This lecture outlines the basic guidelines and the importance of correct treatment planning to obtain successful implant treatment in our daily practice.
Though implant placement is often straightforward, the key to successful implant treatment and personal learning curve lies in understanding the basic principles of implantology and correct patient selection. Through multiple cases, we focus on the importance of guidelines to correct implant placement, understanding the consequences of insufficient bone quantity and quality, and overcoming these site-specific challenges. We get an overview of the essential role the soft tissue plays in the aim for long-term success and high aesthetic outcomes and we look at the different implant designs and their indications. Finally, we look at the digital tools and workflows we have today in implantology and see how we can exploit this new technology’s benefit in optimal case selection, preplanning and implant precision.
